Bodyboard Rails

The different types of bodyboard rails:

The outside edge of a bodyboard, rails are critical to the performance of a bodyboard. Typically bodyboards don't have fins like surfboards so they rely on the rails to hold the waves thus giving the bodyboarder speed and control while riding the wave. The rails are also critical for maneuvers such as spinners (360's) and ARS's (Air Roll Spins). There are to main types of rails, the 60/40 and the 50/50, these ratios are relevant to the angle of the rail and the rail chine.

60/40
Offers more performance and control.

50/50
Generally has more speed but less control.
